High-Speed Chase on Route 9W in Marlborough
The driver really didn't want to be caught -- cops allege he was drunk and the parole board is now investigating.

New York State Police announce the arrest of Kenrick J. Jones, of Walden, NY, for Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree and Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree (all class A misdemeanors).
Jones was additionally charged with Felony – Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving (an unclassified VTL misdemeanor) and numerous vehicle and traffic law violations.
The charges are related to a high-speed chase on Route 9W.

Troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle operated and solely occupied by Jones, 34, for multiple vehicle and traffic violations on State Route 9W in Marlborough, NY.
Police allege Jones refused to yield and stop -- and then attempted to flee and evade patrols by driving in a reckless manner and at a high rate of speed.

Jones ultimately lost control and collided with multiple fixed objects in the area of Bloom Street and State Route 9W, in Marlborough, police said.
Following the collision, he ran away, and when police caught up, he physically resisted arrest, they allege.
Jones was arraigned in Marlborough Town Court and was subsequently sent to the Ulster County Jail without bail. Jones is also currently under the supervision of New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision and is currently under investigation for violating the terms of his parole, police said.
The State Police were assisted by both the Town of Lloyd and Town of Marlborough Police Departments.
