HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The National Weather Service expanded its winter weather advisories early Saturday with the latest storm information for the whole Hudson Valley. The advisories are in effect from 10 a.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday for Orange, Rockland, Putnam and Westchester, and from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. for Dutchess and Ulster.

The snow will start from west to east between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. In the afternoon, snowfall rates may reach an inch an hour. Light to moderate snowfall will result in hazardous traveling conditions due to snow covered roadways and low visibility. In the lower Hudson Valley, the precipitation may end as rain.
