Jersey Mike's Manager Admits Raping Underage Worker: Rockland DA
The 37-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man pleaded guilty to one count of rape in the third degree for abusing an employee he supervised.
CLARKSTOWN, NY — A New Jersey man has entered a guilty plea for the rape of an underage employee he supervised, Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh announced on Friday.
Jonathan Valencia now faces the possibility of one and a half years behind bars.
The 37-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man admitted to one count of rape in the third degree. The plea stems from a December 2019 incident that took place at a Jersey Mike’s Sub store. The victim, an employee, was sexually abused by Valencia, her manager at the time.

"Today’s plea ensures that the victim is not further traumatized by having to live through a lengthy trial process," Walsh said announcing the plea deal on Friday. "It is reprehensible to think that those charged with the supervision of underage workers would violate their responsibility by committing this heinous act."
Beginning in December of 2019, Valencia abused the underage employee that he supervised at a Jersey Mike’s Subs outlet, according to prosecutors. This case was investigated by the Clarkstown Police Department and the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Special Victims Unit.
