Lane Closures Start On Route 59 From Clarkstown To Orangetown

It's only for five nights.

CLARKSTOWN, NY — Lane closures are expected weeknights along State Route 59 eastbound and westbound, between State Route 303 and U.S. Route 9W beginning Monday

Roadway paving will be done between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. through Friday in Clarkstown and Orangetown, weather permitting.

The New York State Department of Transportation asks motorists to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones.

Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
