Lane, Ramp Closure On Parkway In Clarkstown This Week

CLARKSTOWN, NY — Starting Tuesday, one lane and one exit on the southbound Palisades Interstate Parkway will close in Clarkstown, weather permitting.

The Exit 8W ramp to Route 59 and one lane of the parkway are expected to close between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. from Tuesday through Thursday, as New York State Department of Transportation crews work on the bridge there.

Expect delays.

Follow the posted detour utilizing the Exit 8E ramp.

Also: slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
