Latest Details on New City's Next Chance for Snow
Work week: wintertime temps return; roads could be slick Tuesday in Clarkstown.

NEW CITY, NY — The biggest weather change for the end of January and beginning of February in the Hudson Valley is that temps will feel colder as daytime highs will leave the 40s and drop into the low to mid 30s.
Still, it isn't really cold for midwinter. "We’re 2 days away from the end of January, and we are roughly 7° above average for the month," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.
As of right now there is only one chance for some snow in the 5-day forecast. The Alberta Clipper headed our way could bring a dusting to 2 inches to the region.

The snow looks to start between 8 and 11 a.m. and become more steady around noon.

"We’ll see periods of light to moderate snow last into the mid afternoon," Potter said. "The snow should taper off to lighter snow showers toward the evening commute, but it seems like periods of snow showers could continue well into the evening, tapering off entirely before midnight."
