VIDEO: Link Elementary Celebrates International Peace Day

Living from the heart, with peace and harmony in their own lives

CLARKSTOWN, NY — Last week Link Elementary students celebrated the 34th anniversary of the International Day of Peace.

Student representatives from kindergarten through fifth grade came to the microphone, set in the Link World School Children's Peace Garden, and shared their thoughts about peace and applauded acts of kindness from their peers.

International Peace Day is celebrated Sept. 21.

"Students from all grade levels, K-5, took turns reading stories and poems pertaining to their views about World Peace as well as the school theme "We Are Bucket Fillers," Superintendent Martin Cox said on his blog entry describing the event.
