Mom Driving 3-Year-Old In Clarkstown Faces Felony DWI Charge
She was stopped on the Thruway at 4:30 a.m.
CLARKSTOWN, NY — A Spring Valley woman accused of driving drunk with her 3-year-old child in the car faces a felony charge.
At 4:30 a.m. Sunday, New York State police said they stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the town of Clarkstown for several vehicle and traffic violations. The driver, Kristina Khan, 23, was found to be intoxicated Khan was taken into custody, transported, and processed at the state police barracks in Tarrytown. The child was turned over to a relative.
Khan’s blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.15 percent, almost twice the legal limit. She was charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a Child in the Vehicle, a Class E Felony.

She was turned over to a sober third party with appearance tickets and is due back to the Town of Clarkstown Court on May 30.
