More Deer Hunted In 2018 Than Previous Years
This is the third consecutive year for record deer hunting.

Hunters bagged more white-tailed deer in 2018 than in 2017 through the end of the big-game season. The state Department of Environmental Conservation said hunters reported more than 94,000 deer this year, compared to more than 85,000 and 75,000 through the same period in 2017 and 2016, respectively.
That mean 14 percent more deer were shot in the Northern Zone and 11 percent more in the Southern Zone comparing the 2018 season to 2017, pressconnects.com said.
Early next year, a final tally of the deer and bear harvests will be released.
