WEST HAVERSTRAW, NY — A New York City man riding a motorcycle on Route 9W was fatally injured in a collision with an SUV, police told The Journal News.
The man, identified as Jolexis Jaramillo, 27, died at Nyack hospital after the crash, which took place at 7:40 p.m. near Grace Avenue. He was headed south when a woman turned across traffic onto Route 9W northbound. The 53-year-old Highland Mills resident who drove the SUV was also taken to Nyack Hospital for evaluation.
Clarkstown police helped Haverstraw police with the accident scene, TJN reported.
