Mr. and Mrs. Carlucci: State Senator and Longtime Girlfriend Wed

State Sen. David Carlucci, D-New City, married his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Grossberg, in a ceremony on Hilton Head Island, SC, on Saturday.

The 5 p.m. ceremony was officials by Rockland County Judge Victor Alfrieri, a longtime friend of Carlucci, the former Clarkstown town clerk who took office this month as the state senator from the 38th District, representing Rockland and part of Orange counties.

Grossberg, 28, is a Rockland County native and an elementary school teacher.  Grossberg and Carlucci met in high school on the track team and dated throughout college.

“Lauren is patient, kind and understanding," said David Carlucci. "I have never seen her look so beautiful and I feel like the luckiest man alive to have my best friend as my wife.”
