Nanuet Man Accused Of New City DWI With Dog On Car's Roof
The 35-year-old was drinking in the car in a park, police alleged.

NEW CITY, NY — Elvin S. Mejiagomez faces charges of drinking in a car, a violation, and driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. He was doing that Feb. 4 at Kennedy Dells Park in New City, Rockland County Sheriff Louis Falco announced.
A Sheriff Patrol Officer observed Mejiagomez operating a motor vehicle in Kennedy Dells Park with his dog on the roof.
The patrol officer stopped the car, investigated, and concluded the driver was intoxicated and had been drinking in the car. He was arrested and processed at Sheriff Headquarters in New City.

Mejiagomez was released on summonses to return to Clarkstown Justice Court on the two charges.
The dog was unharmed and turned over to a friend of the owner, police said.
