New City Man Killed Doing Tree Work in New Jersey
BREAKING: The 30-year-old man was working at the Peach Hill Township Community when he was hit by a part of the tree Wednesday, police said.

RAMSEY, N.J. — A tree service worker was killed after a large part of the tree he was working on struck him Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Police were dispatched to the Peach Hill Townhouse Community at 2:50 p.m. on a report of an unconscious person, said Chief Bryan Gurney.
The 30-year-old worker, a husband and father of two from New City, New York, was struck by a large part of a tree, Gurney said. The community hired the service the man worked for to perform work there.

Ramsey police officers and members of the Ramsey Ambulance Corps administered first aid to the man, who suffered upper body and head injuries, the chief said.
The man was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, New York where he was pronounced dead at about 3:35 p.m., Gurney said.

The Bergen County Sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation and representatives of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration responded to the scene, Gurney said. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
