New City Man Loses Control of Car, Crashes into Building

The building inspector will determine whether the structure is habitable.

New City, NY — An 84-year-old man crashed into a Third Street house in New City Tuesday.

Police said the New City man was apparently backing out of a parking spot in the Burger King lot when he lost control of his 2003 Toyota.

The car crashed into the northwest corner of the commercial and residential building.

Police said the man was the only occupant of the car and was not injured.

People in the building were able to get out of the structure without injury.

The building inspector will investigate the structure’s integrity to determine whether it is habitable.

Police said no tickets have been issued and no arrests have been made at this time.
