NEW CITY, NY — New York residents are asked to vote on their local school district’s budget and board of education May 19. Here are fast facts about the ballot in Clarkstown.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Polling Locations:

  • District 1 - Street School, 31 Zukor Road, New City
  • District 2 - Congers Community Center- Upper Level, 6 Gilchrest Road, Congers
  • District 3 - Chestnut Grove Administration Center, 62 Old Middletown Road, New City
  • District 4 - St. Francis of Assisi Parish Hall, 128 Parrott Road, West Nyack

Board of Education

There are five candidates running for CCSD Board of Education: incumbents Daniel Cazes, Zizette Deutsch and Walter Litvak, and challengers George Ballane and Catherine Ricks Kant. School trustees serve three year terms and are unpaid.

  • Increase over current spending: 2.06%
  • Tax levy increase: 2.27%
