3 New City Residents Face New Year's DWI Charge

They were impaired by alcohol, New York State Police allege.

STONY POINT, NY — New York State Police report arrests over the New Year's weekend as part of their holiday crackdown on drunk, impaired and distracted driving. Three were of New City residents.

On January 1, 2018, State Police Middletown, arrested a New City, NY resident for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 59 in the town of Clarkstown when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.

On January 1, 2018, State Police Haverstraw, arrested Stephanie Brown, 26, of New City, NY for DWI. She was traveling on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in the town of Clarkstown when she was involved in a vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.

On January 2, 2018, State Police from Haverstraw arrested Miriam Wolfson, 55, of New City, NY for DWI. Police said she was traveling on the Palisades Insterstate Parkway in the town of Stony Point when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Police allege their investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol. She was subsequently arrested.
