New City: What’s Your Favorite Ice Cream Shop?

July is National Ice Cream Month, and in New City, folks love their sweets.

There are three ice cream shops on Main Street alone: Twist & Shake, Carvel and the newest addition, King Kone II.

And while the frozen yogurt shops 16 Handles and Yogurt Sensations have surged in popularity over the past few years, there’s no denying that ice cream remains a summer staple.

Patch asked residents to weigh in on their favorite ice cream shop, and to consider product, service and atmosphere.

After going around to local ice cream goers, it was found that Twist & Shake is by far the most popular ice cream shop in town, followed by Carvel, and then King Kone II.
