O&R Wrestles With Lingering Power Outages

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — Just 21 Rockland customers remain without power Tuesday morning, according to the O&R outage map. The biggest outages continue to be west of Middletown, where about 280 customers are without power.

The largest cluster of outages is near Shawangunk, 250 customers.

O&R estimates all the power will be restored by noon Tuesday, according to the map.

The overnight storm Sunday and gusty high winds Monday knocked out power to 23,000 customers all told. O&R company and contractor crews began working Sunday afternoon, and continued through Monday night to restore electric service to those customers.
