Overnight Burglary Spree in New City

Clarkstown police ask local businesses to check their surveillance tapes.

The Clarkstown Detective Bureau is investigating five burglaries of businesses in the New City area that occurred in the overnight hours of June 3.

There are no suspects at this time but the investigation is continuing.

On June 3, the Clarkstown Police Department received calls from 5 business owners who had discovered that their storefronts were burglarized during the overnight hours. The shop owners reported that they had closed their stores at regular time on Tuesday, June 2, in the evening. When they went to open Wednesday morning they noticed the damage to the entry doors as well as some cash proceeds had been stolen.

Here are the locations of the burglaries:

  • Pole Fit- 100 S. Main St. Suite #3- The exterior door was pried open. Cash was taken from the store.
  • Peppe Ramon Salon- 100 S. Main St. Suite #1- Entry was made from a door that connects both Peppe Ramon and Pole Fit. Cash was taken from the store.
  • Top Nails- 40 S. Main St- The exterior door was pried open. Cash was taken from the store.
  • Studio 43- 8 Second St. Suite B- Unknown point of entry. Cash was taken from the store.
  • New Synergy Salon- 112 Maple Ave- The exterior door was pried open. No proceeds were taken.

The Clarkstown Detective Bureau is asking for the public’s help to please call our TIPS line at 888-639-6233 or 845-639-5840 if you have any information about these crimes.

We are also asking for businesses in the area to please review their video surveillance footage for the time period of 9:00 PM on June 2, 2015 to 7:00 AM on June 3, 2015 and report anything out of the ordinary.
