Palisades Parkway Crash Kills 2

New York State police say a man driving the wrong way collided head-on with another car, killing both drivers.

CLARKSTOWN, NY — Two people died in a wrong-way crash on the northbound side of the Palisades Parkway at about 2:35 a.m. Sunday, New York State police said.

Police said that according to their preliminary investigation a Croton-on-Hudson resident driving a 2017 Subaru Impreza, entered the Palisades Parkway and headed south in the northbound passing lane. He struck a 2016 Toyota Avalon head-on that was traveling north in the passing lane.

The Toyota was operated by Brendan Seabrook, 27 of Wilkes Barre, PA.

Aristan Garandeau, 22, of Croton, was pronounced dead at the scene. Seabrook was transported by New City EMS to Montefiore Nyack Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

This incident is still under investigation.
