Police Allege Podiatrist, Girlfriend Planned to Kill Wife

The Ramapo man is also accused of plotting to beat up health insurance investigators, according to news reports.

Ramapo police have arrested Ira Bernstein and Kelly Myzner Grideluk, accusing them of plotting to kill Bernstein's wife and beat up two health insurance investigators, according to news reports.

Police alleged at an afternoon news conference that Gribeluk was the driving force, The Journal News reported.

According to lohud.com, the arrests Monday night of Ira Bernstein and Kelly Myzner Grideluk was the culmination of a month-long investigation.

Detective Lt. Mark Emma told reporter Steve Lieberman that the duo approached someone to do the deeds who went to police.

Lieberman reported that Sloatsburg Justice Thomas Newman set bail at $600,000 for Bernstein.

Both were charged by police with with felony counts of second-degree conspiracy, second-degree solicitation and fourth-degree conspiracy, and a misdemeanor count of fourth-degree solicitation.

Ramapo police are scheduled to hold a news conference on the arrests at 1 p.m., according to TJN.
