Police: Brothel Busted In Rockland County

Two women and four men were arrested in a raid on a house in a residential neighborhood.

SPRING VALLEY, NY – Police say they busted a prostitution ring run out of a house in a residential neighborhood of Spring Valley. Six people were arrested, including two women from Queens and four local residents.

As a result of an ongoing investigation, the Ramapo Police Department executed a search warrant at 3 Sherwood Ave. at about 8:40 p.m. Thursday.

The two women arrested are both accused of being prostitutes. One man was accused of patronizing a prostitute. Three other men face charges of promoting prostitution and creating a public nuisance, Ramapo police said.

Police were assisted in the investigation by the Village of Spring Valley Police, the Rockland County Intelligence Center and United States Department of Homeland Security.

  • Celia Diego-Garcia (female, age-29) of Queens, NY was charged with Prostitution. (Class B Misdemeanor).
  • Violeta Reyes-Cruz (female, age-22) of Queens NY was charged with Prostitution (Class B Misdemeanor).
  • Manuel Castillo-Garcia (male, age-64) of Spring Valley, NY was charged with Patronizing a Prostitute in the Third Degree (Class A Misdemeanor).
  • Juan Lopez-Bahana (male, age-34) of 3 Sherwood Ave., Spring Valley, NY was charged with Promoting Prostitution in the Third Degree (Class D Felony) and Criminal Nuisance in the Second Degree (Class B Misdemeanor).
  • Salvador Santiago-Villanueva (male, age-26) of Slinn Avenue in Spring Valley was charged with Promoting Prostitution in the Third Degree (Class D Felony) and Criminal Nuisance in the Second Degree (Class B Misdemeanor).
  • Hervin Leal-Martinez (male, age-27) of Slinn Avenue in Spring Valley was charged with Promoting Prostitution in the Third Degree (Class D Felony) and Criminal Nuisance in the Second Degree (Class B Misdemeanor).
