Police Seek Driver Who Hit 2 On Route 202
A 71-year-old and a 51-year-old were injured.
SUFFERN, NY — The Suffern Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle and driver from a hit-and-run accident on Saturday.
It happened on Orange Avenue (Route 202) just south of Lafayatte Avenue (Route 59) at 8:15 p.m. A 71-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman were attempting to cross Orange Avenue when they were struck by a vehicle whose driver kept going.
The woman sustained a head injury and possible spinal injuries and the man sustained minor injuries.

Based on witness statements and video evidence, police are attempting to identify a silver, late model KIA Sportage, possibly a 2021 or 2022 year model, with NY license plates. The vehicle likely has front passenger-side damage, as well as a missing passenger-side rearview mirror.
The driver has been described as a white male with a gray or graying beard.
