Police: Stranger Accosts 14-year-old Going Home from School

Clarkstown police said the suspicious incident happened in Bardonia.

The Clarkstown Police Department responded to a suspicious incident at Village Green in Bardonia at 8 p.m. Dec. 10.

The responding patrol unit was informed by a man that his 14-year-old son had been dropped off at their residence in Village Green by his school bus at 2:50 PM.

The boy was attempting to gain access into his home when he was approached by a stranger.

The boy described the man as a black male, 5’9”- 5’11”, medium build, red bloodshot eyes wearing tan construction boots, blue jeans, a red and black checkered button down shirt and a black jacket.

The man asked the boy a few questions. The boy stated that he had to go into his home—and was able to get inside and lock the door without incident.

The boy told the police that he watched the man from a window, and saw him get into a late model van, where he sat for 10 minutes before driving away.

The van was described as a possible red Ford van with New Jersey plates. The boy was not able to give any further description.

While this is the only incident that was reported, the Clarkstown Police Department asks the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
