SPRING VALLEY, NY — A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise money for the survivors and families of the five people killed in Saturday's fatal fire in Spring Valley.

The five who died were Nastacio Díaz, Ana Gonzalez, Rudy Climaco, Darwin Climaco and Carlos Interiano, the organizer, Irma Lemus, told Patch.

Two were cousins aged 3 and 14, News 12 Hudson Valley reported.

"It's so sad," said Lemus, a family friend. Nastacio Diaz and his wife had just recently come to Rockland County. They left three children in Jocotan, Chiquimula, Guatemala who will also need help, she said.

She had just come from visiting some of the five survivors who had been hospitalized. "They lost everything too."

It's a labor of love and loss for Lemus. "Ten years ago I lost my whole family," she told Patch. "Ten years and I still feel it's a bad dream."

So far, $4,903 has been raised of the $50,000 goal. To donate, click here.
