Rally In Rockland Monday For Carry The Load Memorial May Relay 2022
You can walk a mile or more with the East Coast relay team or greet them at Congers Station Park.

CONGERS, NY — The East Coast route of the national Carry The Load Relay will stop in Congers on Monday so supporters can join the relay team for a walk and rally to honor the sacrifices of our nation’s heroes.
Carry the Load started as a mission to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day. Now it is a non-profit organization that provides a way to connect Americans to the sacrifices made daily by our military, veterans, first responders and their families, with 20,000 miles of relay and 100 rallies in 48 states in 2022.
The East Coast Route of the national relay begins Monday at the West Point Cemetery. Congers is its first stop.

Its second is at the 9/11 Memorial. The Relay weaves south featuring American landmarks including the Liberty Bell, Arlington Cemetery, Lincoln Memorial, and the United States Naval Academy before turning west at the Carolinas and traveling along the Gulf Coast to Dallas on Memorial Day weekend.
Burnside Avenue in Congers will be closed from 3-9 p.m.

Also, expect lots of pedestrians and minor delays on Old Haverstraw Road and Lake Road from before 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., Clarkstown police said.
The timeline:
- 6:30 p.m. Meet at Old Haverstraw Road and Patricia Avenue Congers, NY 10920
- 6:45 p.m. Begin the almost 1-mile walk with the Carry The Load Relay Team to the Congers Rally at Congers Station Park at 32 Burnside Ave.
- 8 p.m. See the Relay Team off or join for a 4.7 mile walk to Nyack Fire Department Jackson Hose No.3/Chelsea H&L No.2 at 86 Catherine St
