Road Rage On The NY Thruway: Police

Things got tense at the beginning of evening rush hour Wednesday.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — New York State Police report being called to I-87 in Ramapo at 4:16 p.m. Wednesday for a possible road-rage incident. The investigation at the scene revealed that two drivers were involved.

Police allege that Daniel J. Bosquez, 36, of Woodmere, NY, intentionally caused damage to an occupied vehicle with a wooden bat. Bosquez was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Tarrytown where he was subsequently charged with:

  • Criminal Mischief in the 2nd degree; a Class D Felony
  • Menacing 2nd degree; a Class A Misdemeanor
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree; (with intent to use) a Class A Misdemeanor



Bosquez was arraigned in the Town of Ramapo Court and sent to the Rockland County Jail in lieu $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond. No injuries were reported.
