Rockland Changes Transit Schedules For Labor Day Weekend
Early Getaway Service for commuters also means no late ferry from Ossining to Haverstraw on Friday.

In a nutshell: On Monday, September 4th, Transport of Rockland (TOR) bus routes will be on Saturday schedules, TAPPAN ZEExpress (TZx) on the new Weekend schedule and TRIPS paratransit buses will operate ADA service only.

Friday – September 1st - Early Getaway Commuter Service:
• TOR, TZx and TRIPS buses will operate regular weekday schedules, plus TZx will meet an early getaway
train departing Grand Central at 3:11 pm to arrive at Tarrytown at 3:47 pm. TZx will also meet the
train departing Grand Central at 6:00 pm, arriving at 6:43 pm.
• Coach USA Rockland Coaches bus routes from Manhattan to Rockland will operate regular
weekday service.
• Coach USA Express (Shortline) bus service from the Exit 14 Park & Ride lot will operate a modified
schedule in the morning and in the afternoon. Early getaway afternoon buses from Manhattan
will be added at 2:30 pm and 3:00 pm from 56th St. & 5th Ave. and at 2:30 pm from Wall Street.
• NJ Transit’s (NJT’s) Main/Bergen Line will cancel the train that normally departs Penn Station at
6:05 pm and Hoboken at 6:15 pm.
• NJT’s Pascack Valley Line will operate a regular Friday schedule.
• Metro-North’s Port Jervis Line will operate an early getaway train departing Penn Station at 2:29
pm and Hoboken at 2:41 pm.
• Metro-North’s Hudson Line will operate an early getaway train departing Grand Central Terminal
at 3:11 pm, connecting with a TZx bus at Tarrytown at 3:47 pm. A train that normally departs
Grand Central at 5:57 pm will be replaced by a 6:00 pm departure to also connect with a TZx bus
at Tarrytown.
• The Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry will operate an early afternoon trip from Ossining at 4:01 pm,
connecting with Metro-North Hudson Line trains departing Grand Central at 2:51 and 3:11 pm.
The 7:17 pm ferry departure from Ossining will be cancelled.

Labor Day - Monday, September 4th:
• Rockland County’s TOR buses will operate Saturday service on routes 59, 91, 92, 93, 94 and Loop
3. No service on 95 and 97. TOR Loop 1 and Loop 2 will operate regular weekday schedules.
• TZx buses will operate the new Weekend schedule.
• TRIPS paratransit buses will operate ADA service only.
• Coach USA’s Rockland Coaches will operate Sunday schedules on local bus routes 9, 9W, 11-A
and 20. Commuter express routes will not operate.
• Coach USA’s Shortline buses and Monsey Trails buses will operate Holiday schedules.
• Clarkstown Mini Trans, Spring Valley Jitney and Coach USA Express (Exit 14 Park & Ride) buses
will not operate.
• Saddle River Tours/AmeriBus Route 11-C will operate Sunday schedules.
• The Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry will not operate.
• Metro-North’s Hudson Line and Port Jervis Line trains will operate Sunday schedules.
• NJ Transit trains will operate Weekend schedules on the Main/Bergen Line and on the Pascack
Valley Line.
