UPDATE: Bomb Hoax Closes Rockland Community College All Day: News Reports
The school was evacuated while the campus was searched.

UPDATE: The threat emailed this morning to Rockland Community College was a hoax—but it did succeed in shutting the campus down all day,
According to The Journal News, the search ended at 12:10 p.m. Sheriff’s Office Chief William Barbera told the paper that emergency responders have no choice but to take such threats seriously.

11AM: Emergency crews are on the scene as members of the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office check the campus of Rockland Community College, room by room.
According to News 12 Westchester, police and college officials evacuated students and shut the campus this morning.

Rockland Sheriff’s Chief William Barbera told The Journal News that Westchester County police have sent over three more dogs that specialize in bomb detection to aid in the sweep.
He also told lohud.com that the call was unspecific about the location of a bomb.
