Rockland County Exec Adds Communications Director

NEW CITY, NY – Rockland County Executive Ed Day announced a new addition to his executive team. Former News 12 Hudson Valley photojournalist John Lyon was named director of strategic communications. Lyon has called Rockland County home since 2006 and reported on stories from Tappan to Tomkins Cove, while covering a wide range of topics.

“I am both excited and proud to once again bring superlative talent to my executive staff. I look to John to continue the tradition of high level communication coming out of the county government,” Day said.

“Together we will continue to tell the story of our turn around and successes. The renaissance of this county is just beginning and John is an important addition to help highlight the positive steps taken in our county,” he said,

Lyon currently resides in the Village of Nyack with his wife Becca DeSimone and their cat Jake.
