Rockland County Schedules Civil Service Exams for Police
Applications are available online, by mail or at police stations.

New City, NY — Rockland County has scheduled a Civil Service examination for police and is now accepting applications for the positions of police officer and patrol officer.

The examinations will take place November 19, said county Personnel Commission Joan Silvestri.

The tests are the first step in the process of becoming a police officer. They will be administered by the county.
Applications are now being accepted online at rocklandgov.com and by mail. The application filing fee per examination is $30. Applications must be postmarked by September 30.

- online by clicking here
- at the Rockland County Department of Personnel, 18 New Hempstead Rd., New City, NY 10956
- at any town or village police station within Rockland County and at the Rockland County Sheriff's Office.
