Rockland Lawmakers to Honor New Yorker who Gave Homeless Man his Shirt: VIDEO

Another subway passenger caught the interchange and posted it to Facebook. It went viral.

Rockland County Legislator Aron B. Wieder, chairman of the Public Safety Committee, and his legislative colleagues will honor Joey Resto for his recent act of kindness on a New York City subway.

A video showing Resto removing his top shirt and handing it to a shirtless and shivering homeless man riding the A train on Jan. 8 went viral.

Resto, a Brooklyn resident, was a special guest Wednesday at Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s State of the State address and was singled out for his act of kindness.
