Rockland Ranks No. 6 in State for Health Factors
Social and economic factors worked in the county's favor, the long work commute not so much.

Rockland County ranks among the top counties in New York in terms of personal and public health, according to this year’s study by the University of Wisconsin and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
The county clocked in at No. 6 for Health Factors and in that area scored highest in the state in Health Behaviors, according to The 2015 County Health Rankings and Roadmaps.
Physical Environment factors got lower marks—chiefly the length of a solitary commute to and from work, but also housing and drinking water issues.
