Rockland Sheriff's Office Watching For Inauguration Threats
The sheriff's office issued a statement Thursday.

The Rockland County Sheriff’s Office continues to follow events in Washington D.C. and
around the Country and is monitoring all available law enforcement intelligence information about any potential protests in Rockland or in the New York Area.
The Sheriff’s Office is working in conjunction with all of its federal, state and municipal law enforcement partners and the Rockland Intel Center in this effort.

In addition, the Sheriff’s Office has personnel assigned to several federal task forces, which provides us with real-time access to any credible threats against Rockland County or the New York metropolitan region.
Additional patrols will be deployed from now through Inauguration Day to enhance public safety and ensure our ability to quickly respond to any incidents that may arise.
