Rockland Vets, Families Invited to Free Conference
Veterans and their families are invited to a free conference on careers, therapies, networking and more in Palisades June 13.

NEW CITY, NY - Rockland County veterans and their families are invited to a free conference in Palisades on June 13. "Finding your Next Mission and Purpose" will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the HNA Conference Center, 334 Route 9W.
Rockland Deputy County Executive Guillermo Rosa, a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, will be a guest speaker, along with Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe.
"It is important for the troops who served us so well to know that they have options when they return to civilian life," Rosa said.

The conference is to designed to meet the needs of veterans and military families. There will be multiple breakout educational sessions, information about career opportunities and alternative therapies, as well as peer-to-peer, veteran networking.
Breakfast and lunch will be served at no cost.

This is the 2017 PFC Joseph P. Dwyer Veteran Peer Support Conference. It is being organized by BRiDGES in New City.
The PFC Joseph P. Dwyer Veteran Peer Support Program uses a free veteran-to-veteran support model for veterans facing challenges adjusting to civilian life, including Post-Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injury.
Services available to veterans include Military Behavioral Health Training, Women Veteran Support, Group and Individual Support, and Gold Star Family Support.
