Rockland Woman Dies After Being Thrown From Car In Maryland
She was ejected as the car overturned in a crash.
LAUREL, MD — A Pomona, New York woman died Dec. 1 after she was ejected from her car during a crash on a Maryland highway, police say.
Maryland State police troopers responded at 11:40 p.m. Sunday to a report of an overturned vehicle in the area of Baltimore Avenue (Route 1) and the Inter-County Connector (MD Route 200) in Laurel.
After an investigation, police determined that a 2018 Mercedes CL2 driven by 32-year-old Zanib Naveed of Pomona was traveling east on Route 200. She apparently struck the curb when she tried to take the southbound curve to Route 1, the report states. The car overturned.

"Naveed, the lone occupant in the vehicle, was ejected as a result of the crash," the report adds.
She was declared deceased at the scene. No other vehicles were involved. According to the preliminary investigation, alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
