Rockland's Weekend Weather: Keep an Eye on Sunday

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — Unsettled weather is apparently the theme for the end of April in Rockland County. But while the clouds keep hiding the sun, and showers continue to fall intermittently, the temperatures have been steadily rising. So if you like warm weather, this is your weekend.

Saturday in particular is predicted to be warm and sunny, possibly even hitting 80 degrees. Open your windows at night, because it'll be good sleeping weather, with lows around 5o.

Then the forecast becomes unsettled again.

"Sunday is a tricky day… with clouds possibly moving in from the north," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

Patchy fog early this morning. Cloudy with a chance of showers early, then mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers this morning. Sunny this afternoon. Highs in the lower 80s. Southeast winds around 5 mph, becoming west. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight
Partly cloudy in the evening, then mostly cloudy with a chance of showers after midnight. Lows in the upper 50s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Saturday
Mostly cloudy in the morning, then becoming partly sunny. A chance of showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 80s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming west in the afternoon. Gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Saturday Night
Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the mid 50s. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Gusts up to 20 mph in the evening. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday
Partly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cooler with highs in the lower 60s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming southeast in the afternoon. Chance of rain 20 percent.
