Route 304 Hit-and-Run Seriously Injures New City Man
Clarkstown police are asking for help from the public to locate the driver in the Tuesday night incident.

NEW CITY, NY — The Clarkstown Police Department is investigating a hit and run accident that occurred on Route 304 and Third Street Tuesday night. The victim sustained serious injuries. The driver fled the scene.
"We need the public’s help in locating the vehicle and driver," said Officer Peter Walker, the department's spokesman.
A 40-year-old New City resident was crossing Route 304 at Third Street at 10:3- p.m. Tuesday when he was struck by a vehicle that kept going south.

The vehicle is described as a dark colored SUV.
The victim was transported to Nyack ER for medical attention. He suffered extensive injuries and his current medical condition is unchanged, police said Wednesday morning.
