Salvation Army's Red Kettle Drive Kicks Off
Bell-ringing Santas are reappearing across Rockland County for the annual charity drive, which helps local residents in need.
Major Marcus Jugenheimer, of the Rockland chapter of The Salvation Army, spoke at Thursday’s Red Kettle campaign kickoff ceremony at the county office building in New City.
The campaign raises funds to help those in need in our community. The 2015 campaign goal for Rockland is $80,000 with collections scheduled to take place at local malls, grocery and department stores.
County Executive Ed Day rang the first ceremonial bell for The Salvation Army at the kickoff ceremony, which took place at the county office building in New City.
