Scammer Pretends To Be Rockland Sergeant

The Rockland Sheriff's Office warns residents to beware of the latest phone scam.

NEW CITY, NY — The Rockland County Sheriff's Office warns residents that a robocall making the rounds —which purports to be from an officer in the department — is really a scam.

In the recorded message, a man identifies himself as a sergeant. He ask that people call back to a certain number and leave their phone numbers on his voicemail.

Please be advised that if anyone receives a call from 845-205-3772 it is a scam.
