Severe Storm Warning For Part Of Hudson Valley

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for all of Rockland County plus northern Westchester County, southeastern Orange County,and western Putnam County. It's in effect until 4:15 p.m.

The National Weather Service said at 3:11 p.m. , a severe thunderstorm was located over Suffern, moving northeast at 30 mph.

• HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
• SOURCE...Radar indicated.
• IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.
• LOCATIONS affected include...
• New City, Ossining, Peekskill, Monsey, Nanuet, Ramsey, Ringwood, Haverstraw, Suffern, Mahopac, West Point, Sloatsburg, Cold Spring, Pearl River and Pomona.

There is also a severe thunderstorm warning for eastern Ulster and Dutchess County until 5:00 p.m.

The NWS also has a flash flood Watch in effect.
