HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Things will start warming up Friday, and that will give the Hudson Valley a nice change from snow squalls, according to the forecast. The question for this weekend will be sun versus clouds.

"There is potential for Saturday to be gorgeous, partly to mostly cloudy with highs around 60°… but it’s also possible that low clouds, patchy fog and drizzle to linger, with temps in the mid and upper 50s. It will all depend literally on how the wind blows," said Alex Marra and Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

After lows Thursday evening in the upper teens, temperatures will climb back above normal, with highs ranging from the mid 40s inland to around 50 at the coast on Friday. Unseasonably warm weather will continue into the weekend, with patchy drizzle Friday night giving way to increasing chances of rain on Saturday.
