Spring Valley High School Student Stabbing

One teen is in jail and the other at Nyack Hospital.

One teen is in the hospital, and a second is in jail, after a stabbing incident at Spring Valley High School yesterday.

Christopher Bermeo, 16, faces a charge of second-degree attempted murder. Bail was set at $500,000 and he is being held at the Rockland County Jail.

He said it was self-defense against bullying, according to The Journal News.

The victim, a 17-year-old, was stabbed in the back, arm, shoulder and side. He was taken to Nyack Hospital, according to news reports.

Spring Valley Police Chief Paul J. Modica told Fios1 News that apparently there was bad blood between the two.
