Suspicious Incident in New City with Man, Car, Children

A parent called Clarkstown police the day after it happened.

On Wednesday, the Clarkstown Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious incident at Morris Drive in New City that had occurred at 7PM Tuesday.

The parent of an 8-year-old girl told police her daughter and two boys were playing in the front yard of their home when a man in a 4-door black sedan with tinted windows stopped in front of their home and possibly made a hand gesture to the children.

The children didn’t know who the man was so they went into their homes without any further contact with him.
