SUV Crashes Into Supermarket In Hillcrest

The driver was taken to the hospital with chest pain.

HILLCREST, NY — An SUV crashed into a stanchion holding up the roof and soffit at the Key Foods Supermarket on North Main Street at about 11:20 a.m., Ramapo police said.

The driver, a 55-year-old woman, did not report an injury but was transported to the hospital by Spring Hill EMS for chest pain, police said.

Both the Hillcrest Fire Department and Ramapo's building inspector responded to the scene.
