From Thruway to Snowbank: New City Man Charged with DWI
The 1-car accident happened Wednesday.

NEW CITY, NY – State Police responded to a report of a one vehicle accident northbound on I-87 at Exit 13N at about 10:10 a.m. Wednesday.
Their investigation revealed that a Toyota FJ Cruiser lost control, running off the roadway into a snow embankment.
Police allege the driver of the Toyota, William L. Jurgensen, 51, of New City, NY, was intoxicated. He was placed in custody, transported and processed at SP Tarrytown, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.27 percent, police said.

He was subsequently charged with:
- Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; a Misdemeanor
- Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations
Jurgensen was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Clarkstown Court on March 27.
