Town Board OKs Funding For 2 Repair Projects In Congers

Emergency repairs had to be made to the train station and the Congers Lake boardwalk.

NEW CITY, NY — The Clarkstown town board approved spending for two emergency repair projects in Congers at its meeting Jan. 17.

A water leak at the Congers Train Station caused water damage to a section of roof, interior ceiling and wall.

The Department of Engineering & Facilities Management solicited a proposal from Belfor Property Restoration to perform the replacement work at a cost not to exceed $16,193.

Emergency repairs also had to be made to the Congers Park Trailway boardwalk for safety reasons. The Department of Engineering and Facilities Management hired Belleville Landscaping Inc. to make those necessary emergency repairs at a cost of $44,250.
