CLARKSTOWN, NY — The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) said that the right lane of State Route 59 is expected to close in each direction, between Grandview Ave. and the Interstate 87 overpass in the Town of Clarkstown, for construction work.

The work is expected to take place from Monday, Oct. 10 through Friday, Oct. 14, between 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., weather permitting.

The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a driver's license suspension.
