Train, Bus Schedule for Memorial Day Weekend: Rockland

POMONA, NY – County Executive Ed Day and the Rockland County Department of Public Transportation have announced transit schedules for Memorial Day – Monday, May 30 – and early getaway commuter service for Friday, May 27.

Friday, May 27 - Early Getaway Commuter Service:

• Transport of Rockland (TOR), TAPPAN ZEExpress (TZx) and TRIPS paratransit buses will operate regular weekday service.
• Coach USA Express (Shortline) bus service from the Exit 14 Park & Ride lot will operate regular morning and evening service. Additional early getaway buses will be added at 2:00 and 2:30 p.m. from 56th St. & 5th Ave. and at 2:30 p.m. from Wall Street.
• Coach USA Rockland Coaches will operate regular service.
• Metro-North Hudson Line trains will operate an early getaway train to Tarrytown departing Grand Central Terminal (GCT) at 3:11 p.m. and arriving at 3:47 p.m. The train that normally departs GCT at 5:57 p.m. will be cancelled.
• Metro-North’s Port Jervis Line train that departs Hoboken at 2:41 p.m. and Secaucus at 2:52 p.m. will be extended to serve Otisville and Port Jervis. The Port Jervis line train that normally departs Hoboken at 6:15 p.m. and Secaucus at 6:25 p.m. will be cancelled.
• NJ Transit trains on the Pascack Valley Line and Main/Bergen Line will operate regular Friday schedules.
• The Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry will have an early ferry trip that will meet the 3:11 p.m. Hudson Line train from GCT, which arrives in Ossining at 3:56 p.m. Since the 5:57 p.m. train will not operate, a 6:00 p.m. train from GCT, which arrives in Ossining at 6:53 p.m., will be met by the ferry. To accommodate this trip, the ferry will not meet the regular 6:22 p.m. train from GCT.

Memorial Day - Monday, May 30:

• TZx and TOR buses will operate Saturday service, except that TOR Loop #1 and Loop #2 will operate regular weekday service.
• TRIPS Paratransit buses will operate A.D.A. service only.
• Coach USA’s Rockland Coaches (Red & Tan Lines) local bus routes #9, 9W, 11-A and 20 will operate Sunday service. Commuter express routes 45, 47 and 49 will not operate.
• Coach USA Express (Shortline) buses from the Exit 14 Park & Ride lot will not operate.
• Saddle River Tours/AmeriBus route 11C will operate Sunday service.
• Coach USA’s Shortline buses and Monsey Trails buses will operate Holiday service.
• Clarkstown Mini Trans, Spring Valley Jitney and the Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry will not operate.
• Metro-North’s Hudson Line and Port Jervis Line trains will operate Sunday schedules.
• An extra afternoon inbound Port Jervis Line train will depart Port Jervis at 4:09 p.m., making all stops through Suffern, then run express to Secaucus Junction and Hoboken.
• NJ Transit trains will operate Weekend schedules on the Main/Bergen Line and on the Pascack Valley Line.
