All of the roads in Clarkstown are divided into routes. During leaf collection, there are 56 routes made up of 1,400 Town roads (300 miles), 43 miles of county roads and 28 miles of state roads.
The dates for pick up are estimated and can change daily due to weather conditions, equipment problems or unanticipated heavy leaf accumulation in any given area.
Town officials ask residents to check the schedule regularly for updates before putting loose leaves out to the curb. Keep leaves off of the road. For the safety of children, school bus drivers, and the population at large – do not pile loose or bagged leaves on the road, street corners, at school bus stops, near fire hydrants, or near storm drains.
